For the Ninth year in mid-December, Vocational Training Centre and creative association "EVENTUS" presents the international ballet festival of children's fairy tales (, Latvian children will be visited by well-known ballet schools of Russia and other countries with the performances - ballet fairy tales, performances and surprises will also come from Latvian children.

Over the years of the festival young viewers have watched ballets as: "The Ugly Duckling," "Winter's Tale," "Snow White," "The Nutcracker," "Tchaikovsky. Masha. Christmas, "" Suddenly, like a fairy tale ... "(In Pushkin's fairy tales) and others.

In December 2010, young viewers were presented with an amazing story of Kai and Gerda "The Snow Queen" (Jacobson St. Petersburg school of theater and ballet., dir. Vladislav Kuramshin), "The Nutcracker" (Riga Theatre Dance 'Grande' dir. Talis Sils), "A Christmas Tale" (Ventspils choreographic ensemble "Confetti" dir. Lala Basmanova).

Every year during the festival, we show from 3 to 14 performances. The theater fills with an amazing and exciting atmosphere of kindness, love and magic. Young viewers empathize fairy tale adventure heroes, learn to appreciate the goodness, friendship, love, bright emotions, aesthetic experiences educate participants in the theater and on the stage.

Festival is a perfect example of creative communication and development of children's dance schools and studios from around the world.

For participants and teachers master classes are held, for the audience we offer creative workshops preceeding performances. Undoubtedly, the ballet festival of fairy tales is an important cultural event of the year.

All these years, our meetings were made possible by the support of people who are not indifferent to the creativity of youth, young talent and art.

In 2010 - 2012 the festival has earned the supported the Boris and Inara Teterev foundation which resulted in the geography of the festival expansion - ballet performances were not only viewed in Riga ("House of Moscow"), but also in Ventspils (Ventspils Creativity House), and in Daugavpils (Daugavpils Theatre).

Children from orphanages and children with special needs as well as children from low-income families were able to attend the performances and events of the festival.

From 13th to 15th December 2013 at the House of Moscow in Riga, Daugavpils Theatre, School of Art in Pärnu (Estonia), AS Tallink ferry Latvia, the Cultural Center of Siauliai (Lithuania), Valmiera, Ventspils and Liepaja young viewers will meet with our favorite heroes from the "The Nutcracker," "The Fairy Doll", "12 months", "Beauty and the Beast," "Pinocchio," "A Christmas Tale," "Alexander Pushkin's fairy tales," "Little Red Riding Hood," "Three Little Pigs" "The Snow Queen," "The History of Violets," "Snow White" and others prepared by the young artists from Russia, Lithuania, Estonia and Latvia.
